Telethon Institute for Puerto Montt and its members ...

For personal reasons I had the opportunity and I wanted to know more about what Telethon Foundation, and a group of children and youth with disabilities. Dear colleagues, I must confess that throughout my life I have seen this issue from the outside as a spectator, not involved and interested mostly, but being inside the viewer even as it totally changes the perspective.

At the Institute of Puerto Montt there Sport and Recreation Program, where children and youth with disabilities have the opportunity to begin basketball practice wheelchair, swimming, ball and alpine skiing. Students in the career of Physical Education at the University of Lagos should make supervised practice and support professionals in the Institute in this program, well I went to see one of these practices of ball with children and the basketball and have been amazed, I spent a pleasant evening, are fun and develop capabilities in other areas so incredible, because I must say that the party was great. peers, because of this experience, I thought, researched and want to share with you some ideas, along our country there are 10 institutions that serve more than 28,000 patients, after the telethon we see on television there are many other things, one of them is the Volunteer this is a group made up of diverse people working to support the quality and warmth of care in institutions, promoting integration and social inclusion of people with disabilities and participating in community activities in conjunction with families and social organizations. The work of volunteers provides different action areas including programs, services and events:

Programs

• Open: Open barriers "architectural and social people with disabilities
• fun, recreational program outputs, reels, friends telethon telethon
• Acompáñame summer: Join the live process during the first months of hospitalization
• Telethon Calls: Conduct guided tours of schools, companies, etc. showing the work of the Telethon

Services
The service area is the support of volunteers in the different units of rehabilitation institutes such as:

Events

During the year various events are organized by the Telethon Foundation , in which participation is necessary to support volunteer these outreach activities.
